Privacy notice
How I handle the details you send me.
Last updated 7 October 2026.
Who I am
Breakpace is the trading name of Simon Long, who is the controller of the personal data described here. Once Breakpace Ltd is registered, the company will take over this role and I will update this notice. Contact: enquiries@breakpace.co.uk.
What I collect
If you use the enquiry form, I collect what you type in: your name, work email, organisation, and optionally your role, type of organisation, timeline, areas of interest and message. If you book a call through Calendly, Calendly collects your name, email and chosen time. If you phone or email me, I keep your contact details and what we discuss.
Why I use it, and my legal basis
I use your details only to reply to you, arrange a call and talk about possible work. My legal basis is legitimate interests (responding to business enquiries you have made) and, where you ask me to, taking steps before a contract. The tick box on the form confirms you are happy for me to do this.
Who else sees it
Some trusted services handle data for me: Netlify (website hosting and the enquiry form), Google Workspace (email) and Calendly (bookings). They may process data outside the UK, under standard safeguards. I do not sell your data and I do not add you to a mailing list without asking you first.
How long I keep it
I keep enquiries for up to 24 months, or longer if we start working together, then delete them.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your details, or object to how I use them, at any time by emailing me. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies
This website does not set advertising or analytics cookies. If that changes, I will say so here and ask first. Calendly, if you open it, uses its own cookies under its own policy.
